The designer.
Since graduating from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in Communication Design in 2008, Greg has been deeply immersed in the design industry. The severe recession that year made it difficult for a junior designer to find employment, but his passion for design drove him to gain experience through unpaid internships in Brighton, Leeds, and London. These opportunities helped him understand the industry’s workings. He then embarked on his freelance journey, founding Greg Lewis Designs, which later evolved into Good Looking Designs. By offering affordable branding services to local businesses, he gradually built his client base through word-of-mouth recommendations.
From 2015 to 2018, Greg served as Head of Design at a B2B SaaS startup specialising in digital gift card delivery. He led design efforts from brand development to customer web portal enhancements, contributing to the company’s growth from three to twenty employees. During his tenure, the company became an award-winning enterprise, transacting over £100 million annually in gift card sales across the UK, US, and Europe.
Over the past few years, he has freelanced for several major agencies, leading design teams in developing design systems for global companies like Pfizer, Astellas, and Vhi.
The project manager.
Yolanda Lewis
Project manager
Yo brings a wealth of diverse experience to her role as a project manager. With a strong background in education, she has honed her leadership and organisational skills through years of teaching and serving as a team leader for a major exam board. Her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in managing complex projects and ensuring their successful completion.
Yo also has a keen interest in coding, which she discovered through attending Codebar Brighton. This drew her away from education and towards the tech industry and subsequently to Good Looking Design. She still serves as a governor at her local school though so her strategic skills are not completely lost to the education sector.
